DSS HANDHELD PORTABLE READER:

A light portable reader compatible with all HID proximity card and key tags. Comes with numeric keypad, directional arrows, ESC and OK buttons for selection of functions and data entry. When a proximity card is presented, it will read and display the card's facility code and identification number (ID). The reader can go a step further to validate the ID against a validation list, i.e authenticate staff badge. By connecting it to an optional barcode reader, it becomes a data collection device with many possible applications, capturing data for job costing, inventory control, etc. Link it to a PC via the built in USB port for uploading and downloading of data as well as firmware updates.

HID Proximity Card Reader and Verifier

The Card Reader and Verifier reads all HID proximity cards and key tags of 125 kHz frequency. When a proximity card is presented, it will read and display the card's bit format. If it is of standard 26 bits or 35 bits, it will display the facility code and the identification number. Link it to a PC via the built-in USB port to capture the card information into HyperTerminal application.
